Earlier today we discovered one of our favorite holiday songs on YouTube – Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra singing “A Marshmallow World.” The recording we have is from the video we found, and definitely seems to match our suspicions that Frank and Dino had enjoyed a few two many marshmallows prior to recording it:

Very sorry to hear the news that artist Jeanne-Claude passed away last night at the age of 74. I’ll never forget seeing her with her husband Christo at the premiere of their Central Park installation, The Gates, in 2005. I shot this photo of them not long after the opening ceremony:
They were surrounded by photographers and onlookers, yet still managed to have an intimate moment contemplating their wondrous accomplishment. Here’s a very brief video I captured of them:
Rest in peace, Jeanne-Claude. When you get to the Pearly Gates, I have no doubt they will be wrapped with fabric in your honor.
